Early in December, Tina Bailey, Janet Larkins, and Fr Darrell spent ten days in Ethiopia, seven of them in Gambella. They observed much of the work there, and began forging relationships with the clergy and people.

They visited two villages and three churches. They were warmly welcomed; the Gambellians are genuinely moved at our interest in them. We were all welcomed at each of the two remote villages by hymns and foot washing - it was very moving |

There is much to tell, and Tina, Janet and Darrell shared with our whole parish their experiences, photos and stories on the 26th of January, when Bishop Andrew, his wife Janice and John Edwards were our guests for a formal reporting back to the parish. Bishop Andrew preached and celebrated at the 10:30 service, after which there was an extended time in the hall for photos, stories and some refreshment. The children in each of the villages were delightful and all wanted their photographs taken |

Now we are raising funds to support the Mothers' Union project there to help educate and inform women so that their families can grow up with good health and prospects.
